Platinum Pen Writing Seminar: Perfecting SAT I Writing Skills
The Hampton Review realizes the difference between "assigning writing" and "teaching writing". Our award winning instructors are committed to producing effective writers who generate exemplary SAT I written responses that meet the qualitative demands for the coveted score of "12". Convincing command, ordered specificity, and fluent control are the necessary writing skills that produce an honest, authentic voice. Platinum Pen also prepares students for the SAT I multiple choice writing skills component of the exam. Our instructors present the predictable patterns and subtle nuances for these test items that typically cause anxiety among many students who have not internalized the language and technical jargon (dare we say grammar?) of editing and revision.
These seminars are offered during the winter and summer semesters. A semester meets for five (5) sessions, two hours for each session. The Hampton Review College Application Essay Seminar, a separate two-hour course, is included as an additional service with The Platinum Pen Seminar. Please visit our SCHEDULE link for more information about Platinum Pen SAT I writing seminars.
Our Platinum Pen Program is also offered to students who prefer 1:1 tutoring or a semi-private learning environment which usually involves no more than 6 students in a group setting. Please inquire with our office personnel to make arrangements for these alternative educational settings.
